The Uxío Novoneyra Foundation brings back the Festival dos Eidos

The festival of poetry and expanded arts of the Lugo mountain celebrates its VI edition next August 27 and 28.

After the forced postponement of events in 2020 due to the context derived from the COVID-19, the Foundation announces that it will bring back the festival and will once again fill the village of Parada with activity. The poet's birthplace and the chestnut groves that surround it will again become the setting for this appointment with poetry, literature and the arts in the heart of the Sierra del Courel.

According to the security and prevention protocols against COVID-19, the organization of the festival will adapt the activities and capacity to the new context, building a safe space to enjoy culture.

While the lineup of guest artists remains confidential, this edition will again bet on poetry as the centerpiece. As in other editions, different artistic expressions linked to literature will coexist: recitals, concerts, performing and body arts, routes, guided tours, workshops, children's activities and exhibitions in the different spaces of the Novoneyra house-museum.

The Festival dos Eidos is part of the European network of literary festivals in isolated communities LITFEST; with partners in Italy, France, Ireland or Portugal with which the Uxío Novoneyra Foundation shares the passion for letters and their value as a tool for lifelong learning. In 2019 it was awarded the Audience Award at Culturgal (Galician Cultural Industries Fair) and in 2020, despite its cancellation, it was chosen as Best Non-Musical Festival at the Iberian Festival Awards.
