Last December on the 12th, at PEN Català headquarters, the first meeting of the local study group on youth and literature took place. It was attended by the director and coordinator of the Engage! programme representing PEN Català, representatives of the Servei de Biblioteques of the Diputació of Barcelona, Biblioteques de Barcelona, the Department of Education, the Gremi de Llibreters and Tantàgora. During the meeting, the projects for young people that have been carried out by each organisation and institution were presented and some of the results analysed. The need to incorporate young people into the design of activities was one of the main conclusions. In addition to the exchange of experiences, the importance of networking and collaboration with other social and cultural agents was also put forward.
