Keep posted on Engage updates!

We are planning 2 focus groups in November in collaboration with the Secondary School IES Viladomat in Barcelona. The first one will take place on November 9th and will be formed by 14 girls and boys in their 3rd and 4th year of secondary school. We will discuss reading habits, literary texts, cultural facilities, their interests and concerns with the view to designing a literary activity together.

Across the Channel, our partner, the National Center for Writing based in Norwich, has started a very special activity with young people about cultural activism and Literature, called Engage! Young Arts Professionals, which has been taking place since the start of the school year. 15 students aged between 15 to 17 years of age from 10 Norwich secondary schools have been chosen to take part. The group is a diverse selection of young people from a wide range of backgrounds and with different interests. The Young Arts Professionals’ objective is to programme their own literary festival dedicated to social activism. The festival will be called “Literary Festival in A Day” and will be  part of the programme of activities available to young people as part of the Norfolk & Norwich festival taking place in May 2019.

Soon, we will publish the digital platform for cases of good practices in the development of young audiences for Literature, which we have been busy working on over the past months. Stay tuned!
